P6 had a super morning with the staff of Portaferry Library. Shona and Louise had prepared an excellent set of activities for us, based around our topic ‘Know your Ireland’. We discussed Irish sport, music, food, language and symbols. Shona captivated us with her reading of The Children of Lir and because Tayto is a famous brand of crisps made in Co Armagh, Louise gave us a big box of Tayto crisps to bring back to school! A big Go raibh maith agat Louise and Shona. P6 will definitely visit the library in the future!
