A wonderful final week in P4!ðððĶðŠī
P4 took all their little flower, fruit and vegetable plants home this week having enjoyed tending to them and nurturing them over the past few weeks. Everything from lettuces, tomatoes, onions, carrots, radishes, strawberries and sunflowers heading to windowsills and larger plant pots in Portaferry homes.
Our P4 dancers enjoyed telling everyone about their latest competitions and showing all their certificates, medals and silverware.
The class continued their ‘Ready, Steady, Read’ challenge with lots of great books in school and are looking forward to visiting Portaferry Library a few times over the holidays as well as taking on the ‘Mathletics Summer Challenge’ so that they can maintain their high standards in preparation for Key Stage Two.
Yesterday, the weather was not in their favour and instead of their planned trip to the playpark, Mrs O’Neill organised a fantastic film ‘Matilda The Musical’, party treats and a special delivery from Morelli’s to end the year in style. She said a big thank you to all the P4 children, their parents and classroom assistants who have helped out in so many ways this year. Thank you to the girls from Assumption Grammar who have been in on work experience this week too.
Just a few more days to go in P4… A lovely ending with exciting new chapters ahead for all the brilliant P4 boys and girls.
