Amazing Animals in P3
In primary three this half term, we have been learning all about animals and their habitats. Last week we become familiar with the term camouflage and its meaning. We learned that some predators camouflage themselves in to their surrounding and sneak up on prey, while some prey use camouflage to avoid being eaten.
On Monday, Mrs. Fowler set us a 'butterfly challenge' where each of us was given a butterfly and the task to design a camouflage so it could be hidden somewhere in the classroom. We then invited Mrs. Healy in to try and spot our camouflaged butterflies.
At the end of the week, we used acrylic markers to design a camouflage to hide our oil pastel drawings of various animals. Some children chose animals that lived in the jungle, the desert and cold lands. Can you see any animals hiding behind our clever camouflage?
