Bodhrán Drums
As part of our WAU topic, "Know Your Ireland" children have looked at some musical instruments that are used across Ireland.
The bodhrán (also known as the heartbeat of Irish Music) is one of these instruments.
The children made their own bodhráns by using greaseproof paper as the "skin" of the drum and traced a Celtic design onto it before sticking it to a cardboard frame.
The children should be very proud of their efforts as all their bodhráns turned out fantastically and have made an outstanding wall display!! Well done P7!
The children were also shown how to create a Celtic Cross by making some folds and cuts in a piece of A4 paper, the children had great fun modifying their designs and decorating them.
