Primary Five enjoyed exploring the properties of 2D shapes. We learned some new tricks to help us remember the names of some more complicated 2D shapes such as a Decagon. Mr Smyth was very impressed when one particular pupil suggested the word ‘Decade’ to help remember the Decagon. The pupils were introduced to lots of new shapes and language. We look forward to our 2D shape hunt and making 3D shapes with cocktail sticks and marshmallows. Lots of active learning.
