Floral Fun in SP1
7th Mar 2025
This week, our Special Provision 1 pupils embraced the joys of spring with a delightful set of arts and crafts around the theme of gardening and planting. Their creativity blossomed as they explored the wonders of spring. The children enjoyed playing with our flower shop tuff tray, filled with colourful flowers, and gardener role play equipment. They loved using their imaginations to create beautiful garden scenes. We also made a variety of floral crafts, including bouquets of flowers and 3D plants. Each child had the opportunity to plant a variety of seeds, including cress, sunflowers and marigolds, and we will monitor these to look at how they will flourish over the next few weeks. We discussed how a greenhouse works and what plants need to grow (and thrive). These activities have not only enriched their understanding of springtime, but nurtured their curiosity and creativity. We are so proud of the care and compassion they showed towards nature.
