Friday Celebrations - 15th November 2024

15th Nov 2024

It has been a very busy week in school with all classes participating in Anti Bullying Week. This concluded today with a special Assembly delivered by our Primary 5 class.

We presented our Anti Bullying Week poster prizes and it was a very difficult decision to choose one winner from each class. We would like to thank our parents for their help and support with these posters. Our individual class awards were presented to Patrick (P1), Aoife (P2), Eoin (P3), Rosa (P4), Lara (P5), Belle (P6) and Cliodhna (P7). Our winners will have their posters on display around the school.

This year we have decided to convene an Anti Bullying Ambassador team, made up of pupils from each of our classes. These pupils were elected by their peers and through this forum we are hoping to empower our pupils to take an active role in preventing and addressing bullying in our school. Throughout the year they will meet regularly, be trained to recognise bullying type behaviours, support all of our pupils and help promote a positive schooling environment. They will work alongside our teachers, and all other adults within the school, to help create awareness and provide a safe space for all of our pupils to talk about their experiences. Our Anti Bullying Ambassadors for 2024/25 are Rhea (P1), Matilda (P2), Rebecca (P3), Tyler (P4), Caoimhe (P5), Oscar (P6), Meabh (P6), Olly (P7) and Alannah (P7). We wish them them the best of luck in their new role and we look forward to working with them throughout this year in school.

Our Pupil’s of the Week were Saoirse (P1), Noah (P2), Caragh (P3), Joseph (P4), Lara (P5), Eabha-Grace (P6) and Shane (P7). Gold Award certificates were presented to Alfie, Conall, Lucas and Tyler of Primary 4.
