How did you spend your weekend?
The Collins’s family got in touch to let me know about their busy weekend and how they were helping to bring new life into this world. Cara (P7) sent me a great video of her delivering a new lamb. Aoife (P1) loves looking after the pet lambs and even found time in her busy schedule to bake a beautiful pavlova. Meabh (P2) also likes helping to feed the lambs their bottles and when not doing this she loves to Irish dance. Alice (P5) also enjoys her Irish dancing and caring for her pot belly pigs. I am advised that over the last 2 years Alice has mastered the art of what they call "sheep surfing" and now some gymnastics when the sheep are enjoying their meal. I am assured that Alice is very light and neither her, nor the animals, came to any harm. Their mum also assures me that the lambs also frequently jump and run along her back.
Finally as if the sheep and pot bellied pigs are not enough the family got a new pup Sparky who arrived in November and he has kept them all very busy. However their mum is not so happy as she is always washing up the dirty floors after he is playing around the house! Poor mum!
Thank you to the Collins family for sending me this. Such fantastic news.,
