Lifeboats, Lighthouses and Fireworks in P4!💥
P4 had a wonderful visit to the Lifeboat Station in Portaferry this morning. It was a lovely way to end their ‘Rescue at Sea’ topic. They listened to Ian and all the other volunteers as they told them all about their exciting lives as RNLI crew members. They watched videos of fantastic rescues, discussed water safety, went to the crew room, tried on RNLI uniforms and even got a chance to get into the rescue boat. The RNLI team gave them some lovely booklets, bookmarks, pencils and badges as momentoes of their special day. Hopefully some of our P4 boys and girls will be inspired to join the RNLI in future years.
Mrs O’Neill was delighted with the response to our STEM model Lighthouse challenge with some outstanding creations appearing in school. Well done everyone for working so hard in so many areas this half term. Don’t forget to return all tests and books in homework folders tomorrow and keep logging into Mathletics.
Finally, as Halloween is almost upon us, P4 completed some colourful Firework Scratch Art. As always, enjoy all the Halloween fun but remember to be safe around fireworks too. Happy Halloween P4!
