WEDNESDAY'S MAGNIFICENT MAKERS PART 2
Before we begin with the second instalment of today's makers, we had a birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday to Brooke (P2) who was 6 yesterday. To make up for the fact we couldn't sing her Happy Birthday at school, her brother Keelan (P4) learned the tune on his tin whistle and played it for her. Belated Happy Birthday wishes Brooke and well done Keelan - such a lovely thing to do for your sister.
Yet again we had even more 'Magnificent Makers' today! Eva Marie (P5) and Isla (P1) have been facinated by the life cycle of the butterfly and have created some art to go alongside their learning. They made pretty flowers using artist's film and wire (tips from granny Curran) and sequinned butterflies all while enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Lovely work girls! Lily (P5) and her brother Feidhelm (P3) have also been busy making a vegetable planter for their seed potatoes. They are looking forward to watching them grow. Ethan (P7) made 'Beans on Toast' all by himself. Well done Ethan! Chloe (P7) made a painted rock to add to her collection. Please keep all your lovely, colourful rocks safe folks as we could maybe add them to our 'Positivity Pathway' in school at some stage in the future. Bradan (P6) made his very own ladder as part of his Make project. He took his time to measure, saw and nailed it all together by himself. I'm reliably told he is very proud of his carpentry skills and I have to say we are all very impressed and proud of your efforts Bradan. Finally for today's makers I am told it was all about making things today in the Magee household. Kian (P6) and Niamh (P2) made a lovely Frozen-themed cake. I am reliably informed it was "yummy" and that there is very little left now! Niamh also made a submarine from her Lego and Kian built a house in Minecraft! We love seeing all your photographs. As well as being busy making, Eva Marie (P5) and Isla (P1) and family have also enjoyed doing the P1 challenges this week. They told me all about how Isla created a treasure hunt (Isla's Penny the Hippo Hunt) and that EvaMarie and her dad enjoyed it so much that they made up their own too (EvaMaries SweetTreat Hunt). Well done everyone.
Keep Safe and Take Care everyone.
