Thank you so much to all the pupils who entered our very first Maths Week puzzle competition. We had so many correct answers in both the Key Stage boxes and lots of lovely, positive comments from parents in the parent comment box on the entries. These puzzles are to encourage discussion at home, working together at home as well as problem solving at home. Problem Solving is our target area for Maths this year. Both www.mathsweek.ie and www.familymathstoolkit.org.uk from which the puzzles are taken offer lots of support systems for parents and pupils should anyone need any help in any area of Maths. There are also lots of support systems in the ‘Home Learning/Links’ part of our school website and within our popular online Mathletics program.
Our P1-P4 winner today was Alfie. Our P5-P7 winner was Leigha. Well done to you both!🏆 Thank you to Mr Gilchrist for presenting the prizes, Mrs O’Neill for her Mathematics & Numeracy co-ordination, teachers and assistants for all their ongoing work and positivity as regards Maths.
