Maths Week - Puzzle 2 Winners๐
16th Oct 2024
Well done Dara and Charlie who were our Maths Week - Puzzle 2 winners today!๐
The P1-P4 puzzle for tonight is ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’. It is important to encourage the P3/P4 children to read the puzzles as independently as possible and to help them to figure out the steps needed to solve each part. Worded Maths Problem Solving is a big area from P3/P4 onwards. P1/2 children will require a little more parental participation. The P5-P7 puzzle is ‘Time Challenge’. Some parts of this puzzle will have definite numerical answers and other parts will be more open-ended. What is important is the discussions that ensue, the development of Maths language and the exploration of a range of different possibilities. Good luck everyone!๐๐
