Maths Week in P5
17th Oct 2023
Primary Five have enjoyed taking part in a range of activities to celebrate Maths Week Ireland. We have been taking part in our ‘Target Number’ challenge. The children selected a number at random and used the four operations to make the number. In addition to this, the children took part in a Place Value game. They played the game in pairs using the digits 0-9. The children competed to see who could make the biggest 3 or 4 digit number.
Primary Five also had the opportunity to take part in some practical measuring challenges linked to the ‘Mighty Me’ topic. The children worked in small groups to measure their height, handspan and the circumference of their heads to name but a few. A fun week so far and still some more activities to complete.
