Monday 8th June - Sock in the Bucket Challenge - Part 3
Thank you so much to Mrs Gibson for starting our "Sports Week" challenge today. A very enjoyable game and a very high score set for all to beat. Bradan and Aoibhe had a laugh doing this with their mum's socks. Both had several turns at it. Bradan scored 8 and Aoibhe determined not to be beaten by her big brother also scored 8 in 20 seconds. Adam (P4) and Lucy (Nursery) also had great fun and Adam said it was harder than he thought it would be! Adam got 7 socks in the bucket and Lucy got 3. The Collin's family also had great fun with this challenge. Meabh (P1) managed 5, Alice (P4) and Cara (P6) both managed 8 so they are delighted they have a draw in their house for first place. Cormac (P6) and Liam (P3) had lots of fun and they both scored 13. Ellie (P5) was able to get 9 of our socks in the bucket and Hailey (P2) managed to get 8 socks in her bucket. Chris (P2) successfully got 11 in the basket while in the Curran household they had great fun as Luis (P3) scored 12 and Cassie (P5) 13. Dante's (P6) mum got in touch to thank us for helping her with tidying the sock drawer! Dante did 23 but is not sure if he is allowed to do 3 at a time! I'll let Mrs Gibson decide if that counts! Jack (P6) even had time recovering from his trek up the Mournes's yesterday to score 13 but he definitely thinks Mrs Gibson had some practice! Finally for today Jamie loved this game and asked that I say a special thank you to Mrs Gibson for getting us started this week. I totally agree Jamie.
Tomorrow we have two more challenges coming your way from 9.00am. As always, send in your pictures and I'll update them to the web site on a few occasions tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who took part today and good luck tomorrow.
