This month in primary three, we have been learning all about money and measuring! This week we have been discussing and recognising different coins as well as their value. We have also been learning about adding different amounts as well as giving change. Today we played a number of games to aid our understanding of these concepts. Some children created a book shop where they roleplayed as customers and staff. We also built pictures using money in our 'money man' game. Other groups played bingo, various board games as well as our very popular Mathletics!
We have also been using practical maths to measure various item in our classroom. To prepare us for cms we have been using non standard units to measure various items in our classroom. The children estimated and measured various items in our classroom using cubes and other items.
