Today Mr Sims took up his new role as Principal at St Mary’s Primary School, Portaferry. To begin his day he visited each class to inspect the quality of learning being delivered by his new teaching staff. Mr Sims then conducted a Staff Meeting in the staff room and got a report on how each class was progressing today. He then led a whole school Assembly, giving out certificates and making all of the weekly announcements. Mr Sims said he really enjoyed his busy day and observed that there was so much to do, although he did not volunteer to to stay behind after school to complete all of the necessary office work!
