Museum on the Move Session 2

10th Mar 2025

Today P1 had our second session with Nigel from the Ulster museum. He was so excited to see the children's drawings of the animals that we had borrowed from the Nature Room and delighted to see such detail in them. The children's observational skills really came to the fore. He then opened up the room to the children to ask him any question they wanted about any animal and, oh my goodness, were the questions wide and varied!
The children asked things like:
Do squirrels eat nuts quickly or slowly?
How many spots does a ladybird have?
What is the fastest animal in the world and which is the fastest bird?
Can a dog climb?
Are woolly mammoths still alive?
Why do spinosauruses have a spine on their backs?
Did dinosaurs die from a meteor?
Did Ninjas really fight the dinosaurs?

And so they went on! We ran out of time so we are going to e-mail Nigel any other questions we have and he will send back answers.
It was lovely to see the children so curious about the world around them.
