My Favourite Activity - Tuesday 2nd February
Thank you once again to everyone who got in touch this afternoon. First up was Caoimhe (P1) who told me that on Tuesday’s after she gets her home schooling completed she spends her time on her Grandads farm helping him. Over the past few weeks she has been preparing bedding with straw and feeding the ‘Big Lambs’ and getting busy preparing for all the new ‘Lambs’ who are due in a few days. Cáoimhe’s mum tells me that she is their ‘little’ real life carer and that she loves looking after all the animals. Thank you for telling us all about your happy place, Cáoimhe. πππ
Emily (P5) really enjoys helping her mum with the DIY around the house. Today she send me a picture of the bedroom drawers and desk she helped to put together. Emily also told me that she loves card games and her favourite game is Jack change it. She especially loves playing against her granda and I am reliably told that she does win a lot of games against him. Poor Granda!
Lochlan (P5) got in touch to tell me all about his love for boxing. He is a member of Portavogie boxing club and is really missing his classes at the minute but as you can see from the pictures he is practising really hard at home. I am sure all of that hard work and exercise keeps you fit, Lochlan.
Evan (P6) told me that once his home school work is completed, he likes activities that allows him to be outside going for bike rides, practicing his flips on the trampoline or basketball shots. He likes to wear shorts even in the cold weather & thinks it would be great addition to have shorts as part of his school Summer uniform. π€¦π»βοΈ
On days like today, when the weather is bad he enjoys lying back with a book and cup of tea. I have to admit Evan that I too love that type of activity on wet days like today.
Not to be put off by the weather Leah (P1) got out in between the showers of rain and loves splashing in puddles. Really fun pictures Leah.
Finally for today Kayleigh (P2) and Jake (N) also didn’t let the weather put them off enjoying their favourite activity. They decided that a fun indoor activity was to make something and they made play dough with Mrs Birt’s recipe! Their mum tells me it was brilliant messy fun!
Thank you again to everyone for sending these great photographs and remember to send your pictures to pgilchrist570@c2kni.net Tomorrow as part of Well Being Wednesday we are encouraging all pupils to “dress to express.” We would love to see photographs of pupils expressing themselves through what they wear; eg the most recent trend, fairytale character, pop star, crazy hair etc. Send all pictures and I will add them to the school website.
Take Care
