P3 Fun With Ice
Last week when Mrs Gibson was out for a walk, she came across 5 mysterious ice eggs and brought them into school. We investigated the eggs using magnifying glasses and our senses. Then we added salt to them to see what would happen and also put some drops of food colouring on them. After our investigations, we left the eggs in the classroom overnight.
The next morning, something strange had happened. We saw spikes on the ground and tiny footprints. We think that the eggs hatched overnight and something escaped!
We decided to use the melted ice to try something else, so we poured the water into a plastic glove, added some glitter and left them to freeze. After a few days we took them out and explored our creations. There were a lot of broken fingers in class that day!
