P4 Christmas Round Up!π πΌπ
Such a busy time in P4 with lots of revision of Numeracy and Literacy topics, spellings and lots of Mathletics to help out along the way. Keep up the great work boys and girls at home and in school. Mrs O’Neill has set a challenge to see how many children from P3-P7 can achieve their bronze, silver or even gold Mathletics certificate before Christmas. Good luck everyone!
P4 have been looking at recount writing based on their WAU topic. They completed ‘Snow, Snow’ and ‘Winter’ recount comprehensions. For WAU, they also examined weather forecasts from Barra Best on the BBC website and on the c2K Newsdesk. They enjoyed looking at a large map of the Ards Peninsula and talked about how the weather affects different parts of the country in different ways. Road Safety this week was all about keeping safe when out Christmas shopping.
During PE they enjoyed lots of Winter themed ‘Brain Breaks’ and ‘Just Dance’ too.
For ‘Grow in Love’ they read and listened to lots of stories about The Nativity. They also managed a little visit to the chapel to see the beautiful crib and advent wreath. Merry Christmas everyone!
