P4 ‘Friendship’ Assembly🌟💕
Primary Four have been working so hard on work for their ‘Friendship’ assembly. They will present it to the whole school tomorrow morning and then for their parents at 1.15pm tomorrow afternoon in the school gym. Their assembly about 'Friendship' is timely as they celebrated 'World Mental Health Day' in class this week. Friends are so important to mental health in that they can provide so many positive experiences, help 'turn frowns upside down' and provide a valued listening ear throughout our lives.
The children discussed the importance of working together, taking turns, sharing, helping, really listening, caring, forgiving and moving on as well as how to hold on to good friends and make new friends. The class enjoyed talking about the friends they have in school, at their clubs and hobbies as well as family friends especially their cousins.
The class learned about Jesus being their very special friend and how they can talk to Him in chapel, at school and at home through their prayers. They learned all about Jesus’ friends, His apostles.
Mrs O’Neill is looking forward to the assemblies tomorrow and hopes that all pupils and P4 parents enjoy them too.
