For the last few months, Primary 4 have been exploring some different ICT skills with Mrs Gibson. Before Christmas, we learnt how to login to Just2Easy, which is available on C2K, using the QR codes and began by learning how to use the Paint option. The children enjoyed choosing different backgrounds and adding images, which they could resize, to make them look fab. We then followed an online lesson on how to create an animation. To do this, the children needed to load a background and then edit it by adding texture to the water as well as adding plants and animals at different places. This background was then used for the crocodile animation. It was tricky learning to only move each character a little bit at a time and then add in some speech bubbles. Since Christmas, we have been looking at some coding skills using Scratch Jr. The children have very quickly learnt how to open a new document, change the background, create their own background, add characters and objects and create a string of instructions to make them move in the way they want.
