P4 Lighthouses and Library Tripππ
P4 are ending the half term in style as they continue to bring in their S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) challenge ‘Lighthouse’ projects. Such a lot of planning, measuring, checking, gluing and painting has taken place. Mrs O’Neill is delighted with all the amazing creations. Well done everyone!
A special mention to Cliodhna, Olivia and Gwen who won some fabulous Judo medals recently at a competition in Belfast .
The class also had time to visit Portaferry Library where they took part in lots of quizzes about popular authors and their books. They had time to browse around the library, read the books on offer and find out about all of the activities which take place in the library during the week and at weekends. The librarians; Louise and Fionnuala were very knowledgeable and helpful. So many of the P4s are already members of the library and the librarians welcome new members to join up anytime. They told the children to pop along with a parent to sign up.
As we move towards Halloween and beyond, the library will continue to remain open and Mathletics will continue to be available for all. This will definitely help all of the little P4s on their learning journey. Happy Halloween everyone!π
