P4 Reading, Writing and Arithmetic!🌟
P4 have been busy reading, discussing, drawing, completing written recounts and comprehension pieces on their class book ‘The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark’. They also worked hard on their phonics and spellings as they explored the ‘oi’ and ‘oy’ sounds.
For Numeracy, it has been all about Subtraction this week. The boys and girls made great progress with mental and written strategies which included learning a little poem to help with ‘Decomposition’. Keep up the great work on Mathletics at home to help consolidate all Maths concepts.
For WAU, the class investigated their ‘Weather’ topic using the c2k Newsdesk this week.
Finally, it is ‘Beginning to look a lot like Christmas’ in P4 as the children and Cindy work on amazing Christmas art projects and learn their Christmas carols in class and at choir lessons too. Mrs O’Neill is very pleased with the progress so far in P4.
