P4 Superstars!🌟🌟🌟
Primary Four had another busy week with lots of active learning at every opportunity. They completed lots of Maths Problem Solving activities and realised how important it is to think about and organise their work in the correct order. They used the large counting stick and hundred square to count onwards, backwards and to round numbers up and down to the nearest ten. They also used their P4 Maths Textbooks for the very first time and Mrs O’Neill was very pleased with the results!
For their Procedural Writing, the boys and girls enjoyed finding out the instructions of playing a range of board games. When they had written their own instructions, it was time for lots of fun with ‘Snakes and Ladders’. For Literacy this week, they also celebrated Roald Dahl Day by finding lots of his books. The boys seemed to prefer ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ whilst ‘Matilda’ was a firm favourite for the girls. They enjoyed listening to a Roald Dahl podcast, watching his video clips and taking part in the online quiz on the c2K Newsdesk.
During WAU they continued with their ‘Rescue at Sea’ topic enjoying short stories like ‘Joey’s Lighthouse’ and activities from ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’ followed by dancing from ‘Just Dance’ backed by sea shanty music.
Such beautiful singing of their ‘Apostles’ song was heard in class and in homes too for their ‘Grow in Love’.
At PE they enjoyed lots of exercises from Star Jumps to Lunges with our circuits work and The Daily Mile took them out and about in the lovely sunshine. Well done P4 keep up the great work. You are all Superstars!🌟🌟🌟
