P4 working hard for Halloween!🎃
With all the excitement of Maths Week last week, it was time for P4 to focus on Literacy. Such a lot of great work over the past while on developing spelling strategies, improving grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and Procedural Writing skills. They also investigated lots of adjectives in a ‘This is Me!’ PDMU activity when they found lots of positive words to describe themselves as they looked in the magic mirror in the classroom. For the rest of the week, it will be all about sorting, finishing and checking those half term tests and spending even more time on Spellings and Accelerated Reader books.
For Grow in Love it was all about learning the different parts of the mass, some of the responses and prayers which are needed in general but especially in this very special sacramental year.
More Activity Based Learning happened as the boys and girls continued to plan, make, sew and stick their felt sea creatures and create their magnificent 3D STEM project lighthouses. As a lovely finale to our ‘Rescue at Sea’ topic the boys and girls are so looking forward to their visit to Portaferry Lifeboat Station on Thursday and Mrs O’Neill is delighted too!
