We had a fantastic morning with Vikki from Plant and Play! She delivered a great workshop to the boys and girls. We started off by doing some Spring crafts. We coloured in a sun, added it to a rainbow and then the final touches were some rain and clouds. It covers all types of Spring weather! Vikki had lots of interesting activities for us to do next. There were magnifying glasses to look at some insects up close. We had the chance to build some bug hotels. There were some silvery pom-poms which we pretended to be rain. While others were using these, we came up in small groups to Vikki, to do some planting. We each planted some peas in special little bags, that will allow us to see them as they grow. Vikki was very impressed that we knew to give our plants a little drink of water and some sunlight to help it grow. When everyone had planted their peas, we finished off with some music and dancing. We danced to the Animal Bop and we had to try and move like all the different animals in the story. We took our craft and our seeds home today and can’t wait to watch them grow!
