The boys and girls were so excited today when they found out that they had a very important job to do. Mr Gilchrist came in and asked them all to plant a little tree. He explained that every child in the school today was going to get to plant one. We walked up the big hill and got a little tree. We had to be very gentle with it. We held it very carefully and put the roots into a hole in the grass. We loved getting to stamp on the grass to make sure the roots were all covered up. We can’t wait to watch all the trees growing!
