Today the Eco Council introduced the new initiative of ‘Power Down Wednesday’. We will continue to operate this new initiative until the Christmas holidays as part of our topic ‘Energy’. The councillors will have a special job of rating each class based on specific criteria and selecting a winner. We hope that this will make the classes competitive and educate the children about how to conserve energy both in school and in their homes.
The Eco Council look forward to introducing the new ‘Active Travel Programme’ in the coming months. Our first event will be the ‘Santa Run’ which will take place at some stage in December. More details about this new scheme will be provided in the coming weeks. Keep watching the school website for further updates.
