Fractions is a very important maths topic in P6 and we have been using our problem solving skills in lots of ways to help us learn about equivalent fractions, simplification of fractions, comparing fractions and how to find fractions of a number. We have used RUCSAC to remind us to read and understood the question; choose which operation to use to solve the problem; answer and then check our answers. We know the importance of showing our working out and that making mistakes help us to learn. The fraction journey is a difficult one but we are enjoying the challenge!!
