Sensory learning through games and cookery
Sensory cookery is such an enjoyable learning experience and we have some fantastic chefs in our classroom. This week we made ice-cream and lemonade. Both boys agreed they were delicious!!
In our topic work we learned about mummification and we have set up an experiment to mummify an apple and a tomato. We will check on their progress next week. We also found some cross curricular ICT games to link with our topic and maths learning.
We had a donation of some new board games to our classroom so we tried out Hotel Tycoon today and it transpired very quickly that we have some property tycoons of the future in our class. It was great to see the boys using negotiating, calculating and bargaining skills to seal the deal!!
We are loving playing in the snow in our tuff tray and have added some polar animals this week to add to our sensory experiences.
