Today in class we asked each child to paint a sunflower. The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine and is a symbol of hope, freedom and peace. We plan to cover the classroom windows with our sunflowers to show everyone in our community that we are showing support and solidarity for Ukraine’s children, young people and teachers.
