The Weaver
In Primary 1 we are learning about Spring. As part of our topic we are reading stories about minibeasts. Some of the boys and girls decided we would like to learn more about spiders as we think they are fascinating creatures. We have learned how spiders have 8 eight legs and can lay up to 1000 eggs!! We also discovered that they do not like the smell of lemon or vinegar.
Spiders spin webs to catch their food. The webs have beautiful patterns that you can sometimes see on a Spring morning. We learned how to weave like the spider to make beautiful web patterns of our own. We used different materials to go over and under and weave in and out. We also drew and painted spiders and webs. We are very pleased with our finished masterpieces.
