Thank you once again to everyone who continues to send in pictures and it is great to see so many of you keeping healthy and well.
This week’s theme was “Happiness” and Cara (P6) went to great extremes to design her own acrostic poem to explain happiness. A great poster to remind us all to stay positive and happy and I plan to put it up around the school when we return.
Cliodhna (P4) and Orna (P2) called past the school to tie their ribbons and they commented that it made then feel so sad to see no life about the school, We definitely agree with you there girls. On their walk they also called by their Nanny and Granda’s house and waved at them through the window. I am sure they were delighted to see you.
The Mullan family, Erin (P7) Matthew (P4) and Gwen (Nursery) also visited the school to place their ribbons. They also told me they are keeping well but like everyone else they are missing their friends and the schooling community. Bella Grace (Nursery) is another one loving the topic in Nursery this week. She is a big fan of Julia Donaldson and she was so happy to get great activities about the book. She had great fun painting ladybirds, singing along to you tube and she has been out looking for ladybirds in the garden. In this great weather Bella Grace has had great fun playing in her pool in the garden with her big sister Charlotte (P6). She also tells me that she has enjoyed watering and looking after her beautiful sunflowers and flowers that are coming along beautifully. Fantastic work Bella Grace.
During this week Mrs Gibson asked her P3 to send in pictures of them displaying happiness. Cain, Sean, Liam, Holly and Meah sent in great pictures and Mrs Gibson has asked to say that they certainly brightened up her week. If any other P3 pupils wish to send their pictures, Mrs Gibson would love to see them.
In this final weekend of May we were sent a beautiful video of Belle (P1) saying the “Hail Mary” prayer in Irish. As all the boys and girls know we begin all of our Assembly’s with this prayer and as May is the month of our Lady I ask you all to ask your child to help you to learn the “Hail Mary” in Irish this weekend and to say a prayer and offer it up to all in our schooling community.
Next week we are planning a special STEM week around the theme of Space. All the teachers have different activities suggested around this theme and there is a family project we are asking you to complete. More details will be sent with the weekly Newsletter on Sunday night. Be prepared and we cant wait to see your creations.
