More great news reached me today that Dante’s (P6) 500 word story has been short-listed, out of 135,00 entries, to go forward to the next round. His mum tells me she is very proud of him and I would echo that to say, Dante, we all very proud of you. Good luck in the next round. He also tells me that he is missing his friends but reading a lot and playing minecraft as well as a bit of IXL and other school work.
I hope you all got a chance to enjoy the good weather today and used this opportunity to get lots of things done around the garden and maybe planted a few seeds. I know that Aoibhe (P5) has been busy planting her tomato plants and some dwarf peas too. Make sure you keep some tomatoes for me!
Cain (P3) has been busy working on his school work and even took time during his daily exercise to walk up past the school. He also tells me how much he is missing everyone.
Oliver (P2) was in touch to say that he has been doing great. He is busy doing plenty of drawing and colouring as well as playing hurling with his dad and mum. He tells me his dad takes care of the science side of things as he is a bit of a David Attenborough fan and they have plenty of chats about animals and nature too.
Tom (Nursery) tells me that he had great fun in the sun today. He spent all afternoon on his trampoline but this morning he tried making his favourite character from Toy Story - Forky! He also decorated some Easter eggs and learned all about the story of Easter.
Nicole (P6), Francis (P5) and Lee (P2) are all doing well and enjoying working at home. They are looking forward to eating their Easter eggs at weekend. Orna (P4) is working hard at her maths and is even teaching her mum all about dividing. Ava (P3) is busy with her reading and IXL.
Keep sending me your pictures and comments. It is great to hear from you.
