Well Being Wednesday - 10th March 2021
Boys, girls and parents our WRAP theme for March is 'Grow and Growth Mindset'. Now that 'Spring has sprung' and with all the recent developments, there is a renewed sense of hope. in the media, our homes, our school and our parish. Take time to be mindful of the 'little things' which really are the 'big things'; the smiles and laughter of children, friendships, kindness, planting a seed or bulb in a pot, sorting a windowbox or helping to tidy the garden. Take a walk 'with your pedometer' and see how many signs of new growth that you can see. Maybe even call into the chapel, grotto or visit St Cooey's Wells for a moment of prayer and reflection as part of the parish Lenten HOPE theme. Fill in your Gratitude Journal and include some of the signs of GROWTH and HOPE that you have seen this week.
Whether you are learning at home or in school this is a lovely 'feel good, wellbeing, resilience' song. Listen, enjoy, maybe even learn the words and sing along to 'Count on Me' on www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc6T9iY9SOU
Our next popular online Childrens' Emotional Health seminar is coming up on 25th March 2021. As our pupils start to return to school, they’re going to be experiencing so many different emotions including anxiety, fear, anger, frustration etc and behaviours may start to change. This free 1-hour session gives an insight into how to recognise those behaviours, the reasons behind them and the tools to help guide our children through this difficult period.
This online seminar is open to all parents of St Mary’s Primary School and anyone within our community. Details on how to register can be found by contacting stmaryspspsg@gmail.com
Finally, we have our whole school/home learning 'Magnificient Maths Day' on Friday. Our Growth Mindset poster for this week are particularly relevant and support progress too.
